Krasny Kotelshchik equipment is installed at Yakutsk SDPP-2
The Republic of Sakha, where Yakutsk SDPP-2 is being constructed, is the region with extreme low temperatures. Climate pattern has a major impact on design and manufacture of boiler equipment.
Its peculiarities include high stability to thermal shocks and low heat retention, allowing to perform quick start under unfavourable weather conditions. Boiler units are also resistant to seismic load with intensity up to 7 on MSK-64 scale(12-point scale of earthquake intensity).
Taganrog enterprise specialists gave consideration to lowering of mass dimensional parameters, as well as to structural design of separate boiler units. This allowed to simplify the transportation of equipment to Yakutsk SDPP-2 construction area.
The transportation was performed by means of railway up to Berkakit station, then the equipment was loaded to motor transport and was supplied to SDPP project using winter road and ice crossing over Lena river.
Yakutsk SDPP-2 (first phase) is one of the four projects of investment program of RusHydro company on construction of new power facilities at Far East, implemented in accordance with the Decree of the President of Russia. New power station will change worn out capacity of operating SDPP, create power back up and enhance reliability of consumer's power supply. Beyond that, the start of power facilities will allow to reduce the number of obsolete coil boiler stations (comprising more than a hundred units in Yakutsk), therefore bringing a vast improvement in environmental situation in the city.
Krasny Kotelshchik heat recovery boilers are the main equipment of new SDPP along with gas-turbine power units and peak-water heating boilers. After commissioning they will heat network water, using heat from gas-turbine power units, that will allow to continuously provide heat for citizens of Yakutsk.
