“Krasny Kotelshchik” Purchased New Drilling Machines
The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (TKZ) commissioned two gantry jig-welding machines. The new equipment will be actively used for executing nuclear power projects (NPP) by the company.
This equipment specializes in drilling openings up to 60 mm in diameter on various parts including large-sized ones. Special control panels (industrial computers with touch-sensitive displays) allow setting the machines for required operations choosing number of revolutions per minute, feed rate and depth of drilling. Further to the standard cycle of drilling the new machines also can perform:
- intermittent feed drilling;
- drilling with chip breaking;
- countersinking;
- thread cutting;
- thermal drilling;
- milling at light cutting modes.
Wide capabilities of the new drilling equipment and the level of the performed operations completely meet the expectations of “Krasny Kotelshchik”. In particular, owing to this equipment, specialists of TKZ managed to exclude the labor-intensive marking-out of products and to reduce the time required for drilling of necessary openings, at that providing superior workmanship of NPP products. At that, provision is made for the maximum safety of company personnel on account of using different safety barriers during the equipment operation.
