“Krasny Kotelshchik” Enters Market of Boilers for Chemical and Oil Refining Industry
PJSC «The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik”» (TKZ) signed the contract for supply of Е-140-10.4-515Г Boiler and boiler auxiliary equipment for PJSC Akron (being a part of the Akron Group), one of the biggest manufacturers of mineral fertilizers and industrial products located in the city of Velikiy Novgorod.
This project opens a new market for TKZ: the market of boilers for chemical and oil refining industry, as well as allows expanding the competences in design of steam boiler units to be located in outdoor areas in regions with the moderately continental climate characterized with cold snowy winter.
Under the signed contract “Krasny Kotelshchik” has a wide scope of obligations namely design, manufacture and supply of the equipment, erection supervision, pre-commissioning supervision, operational and guarantee performance tests.
For the large Russian manufacturer TKZ will produce a drum-type natural-circulation steam boiler rated at 140 tons of steam per hour. The Boiler will fire the most popular and effective fuel, natural gas.
Relatively small capacity equipment will provide generation of steam of non-standard pressure, 10.4 MPa. The steam will be fed to the plant common manifold and will be used for production needs of Akron. In particular, during the peak workload period, owing to TKZ Boiler, the client will be able to increase their production capabilities twice.
Boiler Unit more than 23m high complete with a 40m high stack will be mounted in the outdoor area with wind and rain protection of some components of the equipment. Hence, there are specific requirements for the quality of used isolation materials and protection coating of steel structures of the Boiler itself and the stack.
Among other peculiarities of the project is special attention to technical solutions at design stage (it is planned to design using NX and Teamcenter software), as well as particular quality control of products by the client at manufacturing stage.
