“Krasny Kotelshchik” joined the federal vocational training project “Professionalitet”
The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (TKZ) has shown its support for Russia’s strategic initiative to modernize the vocational education system by joining the “Professionalitet” project. A major milestone this year towards the goal was the creation of a welding workshop at the Taganrog College of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy “Tagmet”.
The study space is equipped with ten up-to-date welding stations that meet educational standards and the latest industry requirements. Here students specializing in “Welding Production” will master technologies used at the “Krasny Kotelshchik”. This will enable the training of job-ready specialists who can immediately integrate into the production site and meet the company’s needs.
A grand opening ceremony was held for the new workshop. Deputy Minister of Education of Rostov Region Sergey Fedorov, First Deputy Head of the Taganrog City Administration Irina Golubeva, and Chief Executive Officer of “Krasny Kotelshchik” Mikhail Klugman participated in the ceremony. The first welding arc was struck by the students the moment the symbolic red ribbon was cut.
– The fact that “Krasny Kotelshchik” has joined the “Professionalitet” project is proof of the effective integration of business and education. The enterprise’s investments in the training of young specialists open up new prospects for the development of region’s talent density and the strengthening of its industrial sector. I’m sure the plant is going to build a well-designed career path for youth, raising top-tier professionals who will make our country proud, – said Sergey Fedorov.
– The opening of cutting-edge welding workshops is an example of socially responsible business, wisdom and strategic vision. Thank you for increasing the appeal of blue-collar jobs among youth. This is a strategic investment in Taganrog’s economy. I believe that these workshops, equipped with cutting-edge technology, will help young people acquire the knowledge they need to build a future career at the plant, – added Irina Golubeva.
– By supporting the vocational training system we are not only increasing the appeal of blue-collar jobs among youth but also building the foundation for the sustainable development of our enterprise. Notably, the opening of the welding workshop at the “Tagmet” College is a second project of “Krasny Kotelshchik” within this framework. In 2025 the plant has funded the creation of a welding lab at the Mechanical Engineering College, – noted Mikhail Klugman.
